I started the Seller Labs $25k Challenge on January 1st. I recorded my first sale on January 19th. To date I’ve had $9,574.51 in sales. The good news, 37.7% of all product sales came in the last week.
Why are sales picking up? Because I’m finally scaling a few proven products.
More than 80% of all my revenue is generated by 2 SKUs:
It’s been difficult keeping these products in stock. This past Monday, I started with 70 units of the Barney Butter Smooth, 16 oz. I shipped another 112 units on Wednesday. I thought I was building a few weeks worth of inventory. Instead, I was sold out of the Barney Butter Smooth, 16 oz (3-Pack) by Saturday afternoon. The other 112 units did not arrive to an Amazon Fulfillment Center on time.
I was out of the Barney Butter Crunch, 10 oz (3-Pack) until Wednesday when I had 20 units arrive. Those sold quickly, and I was out of stock by Saturday. I have another 40 that should be received in the next few days, but I’m losing several days of selling due to stock outs.
This week I’m going to scale those two SKUs and hopefully get enough inventory into the pipe that I don’t run out.
Other great news is that I have three ASINs that I created – and so far am the only seller – that are showing promise:
Amazon sells both the Organic Dried Apples and Organic Apricots. I’m selling a variation at a different price point and it is working.
In March I’m hoping to build my soap mold brand – Sapone. I have two SKUs that just started selling last week. There is a bunch of work that needs to happen to build the brand and get the products selling on Amazon.
