Learn how to add images right in your messages with no coding or outside hosting. Directly upload, or use an existing url to add images with ease. Attach links to your images to decrease text and add action!
Why Would I Use This Feature?
Adding images to your messages can make your messages stand out from the rest. Instead of relying on text, you can visually direct your customer to the most important information in your message. You can add images to highlight different aspects of your product, such as including a graph or gif of how the product works. You can also create buttons for your customers to click on to leave feedback or a review. At the end of the day, most customers will gloss over an email with long wall of text. You can use images to vary up your message content and provide helpful visuals to your customers. You can do all this directly in Feedback Genius, without any previous image hosting service or coding skills required!
How Do I Access It and Use It?
To add images to your messages, select the message you would like to edit. From the text editor, click on the “landscape mountain icon” above the text editor content box.
From here, you can either directly upload an image from your computer, or upload an image from a URL.
After uploading your image, you can edit the image accordingly. You have a few different options when editing your image. You can change the size of your image by holding down the Shift Key and dragging the image. This will make sure your image resizes proportionately. You can also manually adjust the size of your image by adding in the desired pixel size (please keep in mind this could distort your image).
To change where you image displays in your message, you can align it to the center, left, or right. You can also choose if you want the image to break up your text, or fall in line with your text by clicking on the Star icon.
You can also stylize your image by clicking on the magic wand icon. From there you can chose to add a border or rounded edges to your image.
If you are wanting to add links to your messages, click on the Insert Link button.
From here, you can insert the URL that you wanted tied to the image. If you are using your own custom URLs, please do keep in mind Amazon’s Prohibited Seller Activities which we provide as a reference above the text editor.
Additionally, you can use our email link variables. To do so, you might want to go ahead and open up the list of the available link variables to the left. Simply type or copy and paste the link variable inside the URL field. However, instead of using the full link variable, you will change it slightly. For example, instead of using [[feedback-link]]. you would use [[feedback-url]] (all lower case). This will then tie the image to the link, and will dynamically change with each message depending on your customer.
After inserting the link, you then have a few options for opening the link, as well as editing or removing the link as necessary. It is highly recommended that you either open the link from the text editor, or send yourself a few test messages to make sure the link and image button are working as expected.
Adding linked images to your messages is a great way to create more engaging and interactive messages. Instead of having text that reads “Are you happy with your order?” or “Click here to tell us about your shopping experience” you can use images as buttons that convey the same intent. It is much more visually engaging to click on images than reading text, and adding images to your messages can also be a helpful tool for providing more engaging instructions or information regarding the product that was ordered.
That is how you add images to your messages, as well as how to use our link variables to your images. As well with all Feedback Genius features, please do not hesitate to contact our customer support team at email@example.com with an additional questions or concerns.
