What is the feature?
“For Orders Placed” allows you to specify the date range for when your message is sent in Feedback Genius.
What would I use this feature for?
You would use this feature to further customize when your message is sent. Your message will only include orders between two selected dates. For example, if you are running a promotion for a product between two dates, you can create a message that will only send to orders placed between that date range. The first date will need to be set to the beginning date of the promotion and the second date will need to be set to when the promotion ends. If you wanted to target customers who participated in a promotional deal between November 1st – November 30th, 2015, you would set the first date on the left to November 1st and the second date to the right to November 30th. This message will only target orders placed within that date range.
This versatile feature can be used to target customers for at least 2 different purposes:
- This feature is perfect for those switching to Feedback Genius from a different message automation system. Example: I just got started on Feedback Genius today, after switching from another messaging system. I do not want this message to send to orders before today’s date. The date range on the left will need to be set to the beginning date for Feedback Genius, only including orders on or after this date. The date range on the right set to only include orders before this date should be set to a date in the future like the year 2099. This means only for orders placed on or after X date and onward to the future (year 2099).
- If you just launched a product and you want a special message going out to only early buyers asking for Product Reviews or Seller Feedback then this feature will fit your needs.
How do I access and use it?
To access this feature, please select the message you would like to edit and click on the Navicon menu to the right to edit the filters of your messsage.
Here, you can edit the filters related to when your messages are sent. From under the “Show Advanced Filters,” you will be able to edit the date range of your message. Simply click on the date you wish to edit, and you can select a date in the pop-up calendar.
After selecting the date, click on “OK” and that date will be changed in your message. Once you have configured the date range, click “Done” at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
Note: The “For Orders Placed” filter overrides your “Delivery Window” filter, unless you are reaching out retroactively to orders placed before a certain date(s). For example, if you are wanting to reach out to orders placed between October 1st – October 31st, 2015, you will need to have the Delivery Window set to include orders in the past 30-60 days for your message to send between that date range.
