I’ve successfully used it to launch several soap mold products. My focus was to generate great reviews in a short period of time and then use a paid campaign to drive sales. This strategy works.
Now I’m attempting to add another big benefit–organic search rank on important keywords in a short period of time. A week ago I launched new product: Silicone Suction Lids. I’m ranking on page one of several important keywords.
Keywords Rank on Page One:
I’ve discovered two important ingredients to rank organically in a short period of time:
- Effective copy writing
- Generating the necessary sales to rank among the best on a daily basis
To generate effective copy, I used the examples of the products that currently rank high on organic search. I also took time to generate quality photos that demonstrate how the product works.
I used Snagshout to generate the necessary sales on a daily basis. Rather than giving away as much product as possible, I limited the discount to 10 per day. I chose 10 after researching the month sales generated by the top products using Seller Labs’s research product: Scope. The top product sells about 300 units per month. If I get 10 sales per day, I would sell as many as the top seller.
I priced my Snagshout campaign at $4.98. I read a post on the Seller Labs blog stating that products priced below $4.98 sell the most. I also setup another Snagshout campaign at $1. The reason for two campaigns was to give me options to achieve my 10 sales per day. If my price at $4.98 wasn’t going to make it, I could turn on the $1 campaign to make up the difference.
After only a few days I’ve started ranking organically and generating sales. As a result, I limit my Snagshout campaigns to fill the gap to achieve 10 sales a day.
I’ve since modified my Snagshout campaign to $3.98 from $4.98 because I lowered the price on my product from $14.98 to $13.98.
