What is the feature?
Before we get started, understand that the Analytics tool is only available on the Medium plan and above. When you’re on the Medium, Large or Extra Large plan, a new tab will appear on the “Edit Message” page next to “Attachments.”
This tool is useful for collecting information on how well your message campaigns are doing.
What would I use this feature for?
This feature is useful for seeing the click-through and open-rates of your messages.
Using the Analytics feature within Feedback Genius will tell you how many people are actually opening your messages and also how many people are clicking on the links within your messages. In addition, you can view the total number of unsubscribes.
This is important because if you discover people aren’t opening your messages, this feature will help you analyze and decide why they aren’t successful. If you don’t see many open rates, for example, that can mean you should adjust the “Message Subject.” If you find many people are opening the message but not clicking on links, then you may want to change the copy found within the “Message Content” tab with less text, better words, and an obvious call to action.
How do I access and use the Analytics feature?
To take full advantage of this feature, first, you should include a logo in your template. To do this, upload a logo within “Settings” and then add it to your template by using the [[logo]] or [[logo-link]]variable. This will enable the open-rate tracking for the message.
Also, if you would like to collect the click-through rate, you will want to check the checkbox at the bottom of the Analytics tab. Be sure to clearly read the instructions below the option and understand its use completely.
After running the message for a few weeks, you can check the Analytics tab and view your open- and click-through rates. There are two chart within tab: The first one will you give the open- and click-through amount. The second will display the percentages of the open and click-through rates.
As with all Feedback Genius features, please feel free to contact our customer support team at email@example.com if you have additional questions or concerns. Thank you!
