Course 1 — Capstone
Capstone: Build Your Amazon AI Workspace
Estimated time to complete: 1-2 hours
🎧 Listen to this module:
You have covered all the concepts. Now it is time to build the actual workspace you will use going forward. This capstone brings everything together into a single, verified setup.
Work through the checklist below in order. Each step confirms that a piece of your Level 2 setup is in place and working.
The Level 2 Setup Checklist
Step 1: Install VS Code and Claude Code
- VS Code installed on your computer
- Claude Code extension installed in VS Code
- Signed in with your Claude account
- A workspace folder created and opened in VS Code
Verification: Open the Claude Code panel and type “hello” — confirm Claude responds.
Step 2: Create Your CLAUDE.md
- CLAUDE.md created in the root of your workspace folder
- Includes: at least 3 ASINs with descriptions
- Includes: your PPC targets (ACoS, budget caps)
- Includes: your brand voice description
- Includes: key contacts (main supplier at minimum)
- Includes: folder paths (/reports, /products, etc.)
Verification: Open Claude Code and ask “What do you know about my Amazon business?” — Claude should describe your business accurately from CLAUDE.md.
Step 3: Create Your MEMORY.md
- MEMORY.md created in the root of your workspace folder
- Includes: at least one recent business decision
- Includes: at least one current priority or active situation
- Includes: at least one preference about how you work with Claude
Verification: Ask Claude “What are my current priorities and any recent decisions I’ve made?” — it should reference your MEMORY.md entries.
Step 4: Set Up Your Folder Structure
- /reports folder created
- /products folder created
- /emails folder created
- /listings folder created
- /analysis folder created
- At least one real file in /reports (a CSV export)
Verification: Ask Claude to summarize the file in /reports — confirm it reads it without you pasting any content.
Step 5: Connect to GitHub
- GitHub account created (free)
- Private repository created (e.g., “amazon-ai-workspace”)
- Workspace folder connected to the repository via VS Code Source Control
- CLAUDE.md and MEMORY.md pushed to GitHub
Verification: Go to your GitHub repository in a browser — confirm CLAUDE.md and MEMORY.md appear there.
Step 6: Run 3 Real Tasks From Module 8
Pick three of the five use cases from Module 8 and run them now using your actual files. The goal is not perfect output — the goal is to confirm the workflow end-to-end.
- Task 1 complete: ___________________________
- Task 2 complete: ___________________________
- Task 3 complete: ___________________________
Verification: Each task produced an output file in /analysis or the relevant folder — not just a chat response.
You Are Now Operating at Level 2
If you completed all six steps, you have:
- A Claude Code workspace with permanent business context
- A folder structure that lets Claude work on your real files
- Version-controlled configuration backed up on GitHub
- Direct experience running file-based AI tasks on real Amazon data
That is Level 2. Claude knows your business, works with your files, and delivers output you can actually use — without re-explaining yourself at the start of every session.
What Is Next
Level 2 is where most sellers will spend most of their time. But if you want to go further — if you want Claude running scheduled reports, connecting to live Amazon data, and chaining multi-step workflows without you initiating them — that is what Course 2 covers.
Ready for Level 3?
Course 2 shows you how to move from “AI that works when you ask it to” to “AI that runs on its own.” Connect to real-time Amazon data, set up scheduled automated workflows, and build multi-agent pipelines that operate while you focus on other things.
