I’m now finishing up my first year selling on Amazon. It’s been a great learning experience and I’ve really grown as a seller. Let’s take a look at my progress from my first month ever, to the first month of this year.
Here we’ll look at the numbers of my growth as seller: in January 2015 I sold in the month $1,631.22 worth of product. Fast-forward to January 2016 and that number has grown to $27,129.61. For those who don’t want to use a calculator that is over 1,500% increase in sales!
To put this on an annual scale; after paying Amazon Fees and my Cost of Goods Sold I made $8,467 in profit this past month. If I make that consistently each of the next 12 months my annual salary would be $101,604. That is a six-figure salary. Why doesn’t everyone sell on Amazon?
Below is a graph showing my year-over-year sales growth. The blue line is 2016 and the red line is 2015.
I have yet to take a dime out of the business and I am reinvesting the profits to launch additional products. I’m working on launching a product that will be classified as oversized. There are numerous challenges that go into launching an oversized product and I will chronicle it all in upcoming posts on the $25K Challenge blog.
Also, I will be at the Prosper Show next week. If you’d like to sit down and talk about Amazon business for 20 – 30 minutes, I’d love to talk to you if you can make it. If you’d like to meet just send me an email at Patrick@nextdistributions.com.
