Seller Labs Cares is kicking off another bountiful holiday season with the intention of giving back to communities all over the US! Email email@example.com if you’re interested in participating!
It’s that time of year again! In Q4, we become so focused on the success of our business. How can we maximize sales during the holiday rush? How can we minimize extraneous costs? How can we keep customers happy? Our goal with Seller Labs Cares, in partnership with Toys for Tots, is to help you easily give back this holiday season. In 2017, we worked with our clients to give back over $125,000 in toys to our local Athens, Georgia, community.
We reached that number by working with fewer than 100 customers! We have the honor of working with thousands of sellers in the Seller Labs community. Imagine the impact we could have on families across the nation if we all pitched in just a bit.
We keep referring to “nation-wide” impact. Our customers are all over the US, and even abroad! In an effort to connect with more families in need, we’re encouraging each and every one of our customers to give back to your local community. Chances are, you probably have a donation drop off right down the street. If you want to help your community even more, you could be a donation drop off center yourself!
Why are we doing it this way?
Seller Labs Cares in 2017 was more successful than we were anticipating. We started with a goal of turning $10,000 into $50,000 in toys, and walked away as being a part of a donation over $125,000. The Athens, Georgia, chapter of Toys for Tots encompasses about 6 local counties. The donations we received were so bountiful that they were able to help out even more counties in the Metro-Atlanta area. If we can spread the wealth into your local community, just think of the hundreds or thousands of families the Seller Labs community can help this holiday. Plus, this saves everyone shipping fees of getting products to Athens!
How can you help?
Donate! In the Amazon sellers community, there are a ton of Facebook groups. In one group, I saw a seller mention that every toy she’s arbitraged, but is gated from selling, she’s going to donate that locally to an organization in need. How many of you out there have experienced this? How many of you have toys just sitting in the back of your warehouse that are in great condition? We encourage our sellers to improve their product based on customer feedback, so what happens to the early versions?
Now, we know that not every Amazon seller offers toys within their catalog, but there are so many different ways that you and your team can get involved! To make it a little easier, we’re sharing some of our favorites:
- Offer an in-office incentive (like a pizza party, leaving early on a Friday, etc.) for team members who donate toys
- Create an inter-office competition to see which department can donate the most, and the winners get prizes
- Encourage your employees to donate to a communal pool. Then, go on a shopping spree!
- Divide the company into teams. Give each team a budget, and see who can stretch their dollar the farthest!
We ask that you send a donation form back to us. It’s that simple. We’ll help you with the tax paperwork, and calculate the total impact Seller Labs was able to make to families in need.
